SEOUL – Northland Power, an electricity producer in Canada, has partnered with LS Cable & System to collaborate on offshore wind farm projects. The South Korean company has expanded its manufacturing facilities to better respond to the rapidly growing offshore wind power market.

The two companies decided to work together on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects related to offshore wind power generation. Northland, which develops, builds, owns and operates infrastructure systems for clean and green electricity, has been involved in wind farm projects in the North Sea and Asia.

LS Cable has signed a contract to supply submarine cables for the Hai Long offshore wind farm project in the Taiwan Strait. “With this agreement, we will comply with the government’s new and renewable energy policy and contribute to the development of the local economy,” said CEO Myung Roe-hyun in a statement on November 3rd.
