Goldwind has signed turbine purchase agreements (TPAs) for two wind farms in Ukraine for a total of 625.5 MW, thereby strengthening its presence in the country.

The order comprises 75 GW 155-4.5 MW for Zophia and 60 GW 155-4.8 MW for Ochakov. Goldwind will also service turbines at Zophia for Zophia for 25 years and turbines at Ochakov for two years
The wind turbines meet the local grid connection requirements and guarantee “maximum return on investment for customers”, says Goldwind.
The projects are expected to be completed by the end of 2022. Once commissioned, they will produce an estimated 2.2 TWh / year, enough to supply more than 1.1 million Ukrainian households with electricity.
In addition to improving the local electricity supply and reducing CO2 emissions, the projects are intended to boost employment, increase tax revenues and promote economic development in the region.
Goldwind said the deals will increase the company’s market share in Ukraine to over 20%.
